| Aeolos Studios are located south of Palekastro, embedded in a dense olive grove. Walking through the olive grove, the wonderfully unspoilt sand and pebble beach of Chiona can be reached in approximately 10 minutes. However, you can enjoy a refreshing swim considerably closer, for the villas share a large swimming pool, surrounded by a spacious, stone-flagged terrace. The eight studios and maisonettes that make up Aeolos are set in two small terraces overlooking the pool and are very attractively designed in a classic white colour scheme. Well-chosen fabrics and soft furnishings make the simple interiors just as pretty. Aeolos Studios enjoy an extremely peaceful location but whilst a hire car is included in the cost of your holiday to help you explore Crete’s remote east coast, it is possible to venture out for dinner without having to drive. At the northern end of Chiona Beach there are three delightfully romantic tavernas serving freshly caught fish and simple, Greek, home cooking virtually on the edge of the sea. For a wider choice of eating places, the centre of Palekastro is just over a kilometre away. |
Accommodation: The studios are fairly compact and comprise a studio room with twin beds, a divan and a simple all-in-one kitchenette unit. The two maisonettes also have open plan interiors and sleep up to two adults and two children, with a double bed on a raised gallery, a single bed on the lower level and a small sitting area with a divan and kitchenette. Like the studios, their terraces lead down directly to the enticing swimming pool. |
